Styling

So I worked as a stylist for my first time last Wednesday. I recently modeled for Keni Omdahl (check out last post) and since I was styling myself for our shoots together, she brought up the idea of me styling her models for some of her shoots. I immediately jumped at the opportunity to style for her since that's more my forte, over modeling that is.
I was really impressed with the 2 models that we worked with - neither had any experience working as models and they came off a bit nervous and shy when they arrived, but they really knew how to work it when in front of the camera. Overall, the experience was great. I would love to be doing this kind of thing everyday.
Enough yapping. Here are some of the photos from the shoots:

Working With Keni Omdahl

So to follow up with my last post, I just wanted to share some of the photos from my most recent photoshoot with my wonderful photographer friend Keni Omdahl. We met pretty randomly but instantly hit it off and decided to collaborate together. She's not only the maker of amazing photos but she also is the person I can thank for helping me find an interest in modeling. In the past few weeks I've started a Model Mayhem and started speaking with some artists. Guess I'm going to be doing some modeling in the meantime until I really kick-start my career in fashion.

But enough blabbering. Here are the photos:

My personal favorite from this set.

So you should really check out more of her work at:

Tomorrow I'm working with her again to help style a shoot. Can't wait to work with her and the other talented people who are going to be a part of this shoot. I'll let you know how it goes.

The State We're In

A lot of really great opportunities have been popping up for me in the past couple of months, and it's definitely leaving me with a lot to take into consideration for moving forward. I'll talk about it more soon, but I've just been so busy with finding a new job and working with different artists. For now, here's some eye
candy:

Backview of shirt. DIYed shredded T

My new favorite sweater. The stripes on the sleeves are really soft and fuzzy.

My cat Luna and me. Not gonna be the first time you're seeing her.

Well, that's it for now. Hope you liked the outfit post. I'll be sharing some of the photos from the shoot I did with my friend Keni Omdahl. in my next post. They're definitely worth checking out.

Pile It On Me

So it seems that I'm still getting used to the fact that summer's over. Still slacking on some things... like posting, and haven't been focusing. But I've kept busy for the most part, and that's how I like it.

I've had a really great past week. I went to two shows - one The Silversun Pickups at the Aragon Ballroom and the other Grizzly Bear at the Riviera, both here in Chicago. Those rocked. Not only that, but I also got the opportunity to model again for the awesome photographer and friend of mine, Keni Omdahl. Here are some photos from the shoot:

You should check out the rest of her work on her Facebook page at Keni Omdahl Photography. Maybe "like" her page. Her beautiful pictures will pop up on your feed. It's a real treat.

And I'll have to make sure to show ya'll the pictures from our last shoot that was in June. I think I like those even better!

Gonna Make This Insincere

I don't have much to say, but I finally got out of the house and took some pictures on the ol' tripod so I'd have more outfit posts. It was so nice today. It just reminds of how sad I am that summer's coming to and end. Just gotta make the best of it.

skirt - dress worn as skirt - thrifted
belt - black braided belt - thrifted

Weekend Cluster

I promised outfit pictures with my new shoes, so here they are. Although I've been wearing these babies quite a lot since I've gotten them, here's just one look I managed to get pictures of. More to come though! Aaand here's a picture of me to kick start this post:

All items thrifted except for shoes.

The Jeffrey Campbell Yuma Fab boot

Weekend casual outfit. Paired with DIY dip-dyed shorts and fishnets.

Belated birthday present to my sister and me from a friend.
DIY shorts. Bleached one half and dyed the other.
Smoked some hookah this weekend.

 Went down to the city.
 I love my city.

Had awkward pictures taken of me at the beach.
And also got followed by this bug.

I know my posts have not been revolving around fashion as much as I'd hoped lately, but I'll make sure to focus on it more in upcoming posts. That's all for now folks.
